Don’t tell me to unlove you because that’s not how it goes
You cannot command the rain to stop when gravity orders where it flows

Don’t tell me to unlove you because you found fault in yourself
For I vowed to love the dawn but I swore on the twilight too

Don’t tell me to unlove you because you feel like you’re not enough
I didn’t ask for the oasis but a drop of water to make it through

Don’t tell me to unlove you and forget what we had
Should a reader abandon a book just because the 1st chapter was bad?

Don’t tell me to unlove you because I can’t possibly do that
When you’ve become the blood in my veins and air to my lungs

Don’t tell me to unlove you
Just don’t tell me to
Because no matter how much I repeat it
Love is the only thing I could offer you
